General Function: The President and Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board of Directors and has the leadership responsibility for the organization’s strategic direction, financial stability, community relations, staffing, development, planning, training, facilities, operations, communications and technology systems. The Executive Director/CEO is also responsible for conformity of staff with policy adopted by the Board of Directors.
Essential Functions: The incumbent must have the competencies, skills and proven leadership ability to successfully carry out the association’s mission, goals and vision for serving the community. This position requires a team player with the ability to effectively work with stakeholders in the community, members, staff and volunteers. A key competency requirement of the Executive Director/CEO is the ability to attract, hire and retain a diverse and competent team of staff and volunteers; to create, shape and track the strategic direction and business plan against new and standing initiatives.
