Meet Randy Sims
Owner & President
Randy has more than 20 years of hands-on recruiting and executive search experience, leading expert executive recruiters. He personally manages each search his firm conducts.
Growing up on a livestock and row crop farm in Central Illinois, Randy understands the importance of having great people working in the Animal Health/Nutrition and Agriculture industry. He entered the recruiting industry after six years in retail management. His experience includes working for two of the largest staffing companies in the U.S., where he consistently ranked in the top 10% of his peers, even outranking of 97% of his co-workers in corporations with more than 2,500 employees. As a certified trainer in both organizations, he conducted field training for recruiters and led national corporate training sessions.
Randy brings his experience and drive to Sims Search with a goal of providing the highest level of service and becoming the most respected recruiting firm in the industry. Our mission is to provide continued training and development to those in the recruiting and staffing industries.
He graduated from the School of Business at Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Marketing and in human resources management. While at Eastern, Randy was elected president of the American Marketing Association, and was one of only two students in the college chosen to sit on the College Curriculum Committee, and sat on the Dean’s Advisory Board.
Randy has a unique perspective on success in business and life. After suffering with Cystic Fibrosis, he was given a new lease on life with a double lung transplant. He understands that the way you deal with the challenges that life presents can impact your quality of life and chances of success. His determination and a great appreciation for life shows in his partnerships with clients and candidates and speaking engagement audiences.
