Randy brought his experience and drive to Sims Search with the goal of providing the highest level of service and becoming the most respected recruiting firm in the industry. Our mission is to provide continued training and development to those in the recruiting and staffing industries.
Growing up on a livestock and row crop farm in Central Illinois, Randy understood the importance of having great people working in the Animal Health/Nutrition and Agriculture industry. He entered the recruiting industry after six years in retail management. His experience included working for two of the largest staffing companies in the U.S., where he consistently ranked in the top 10% of his peers, even outranking 97% of his co-workers in corporations with more than 2,500 employees. As a certified trainer in both organizations, he conducted field training for recruiters and led national corporate training sessions.
He graduated from the School of Business at Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Marketing and in human resources management. While at Eastern, Randy was elected president of the American Marketing Association, and was one of only two students in the college chosen to sit on the College Curriculum Committee and sat on the Dean’s Advisory Board.
Randy had a unique perspective on success in business and life. After suffering with Cystic Fibrosis, he was given a new lease on life with a double lung transplant. He understood that the way you deal with the challenges that life presents can impact your quality of life and chances of success. His determination and great appreciation for life showed in his partnerships with clients and candidates and speaking engagement audiences.
When Randy was not spending time on CEO recruitment and motivational speaking, he was closely tied to his community. He served on the executive board and board of directors for the National Kidney Foundation, was involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and served in several areas of his church.
